About Me
Meet Your OT
Emily McLemore OTD, OTR/L
Hi! I’m Emily McLemore, OTD, OTR/L, the founder and sole practitioner at Mustard Seed Therapy.
I grew up in Rome, Georgia. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia before completing my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. For the past five years, I have specialized in outpatient pediatric care, and there is nothing I find more rewarding than witnessing the progress of the children and families I serve.
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
- Matthew 17:20
As an occupational therapist, I see those "mountains" every day—a child struggling with sensory processing, a family’s stress during mealtime, or the frustration of a child learning to write their name. I founded Mustard Seed Therapy because I believe that with the right support and a little bit of faith, those mountains can move. I want to provide more than just clinical intervention—I want to create a space where families feel seen, supported, and empowered to help their child grow.
When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me with my husband and daughter spending time outdoors, hiking, doing house projects, and reading a good book!
I am honored to walk alongside your family and witness the "mountains" your child will move!

The Process
The Therapy Process
Schedule an Evaluation
The evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that typically lasts 60 minutes. During this time, we will discuss your current concerns, your child's developmental history, and their current level of functioning.
Following the session, I will create customized treatment plan tailored to your child’s specific needs and your family’s vision for their growth.

-
Talk to your Doctor and mention your concerns regarding your child’s development or daily functioning.
-

Start Treatment!
A treatment plan will include:
-
Individualized goals for your child
-
A recommendation for how many times per month we should meet and what duration would best suit your child
-
Home Programs: Practical "seeds" you can plant at home to reinforce the progress we make in the clinic.
We review these plans regularly to celebrate every victory and adjust our plan as your child grows and masters new skills.

Insurance & Billing
Insurance & Billing
Mustard Seed Therapy is currently only accepting self-pay patients.
I am dedicated to making our services accessible, and I am actively in the process of becoming an in-network provider for Georgia Medicaid and various Care Management Organizations (CMOs). I will update you as these partnerships are finalized.
Payment Policy:
Payment is collected on the day services are rendered. For your convenience, we keep a secure credit card on file, which will be processed at the end of each session.
If you have specific questions regarding billing, rates, or our insurance transition timeline, please don't hesitate to call the clinic. I am happy to help you navigate this process!
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy Frequency & Duration
Every child's journey is unique. While a typical occupational therapy session lasts 60 minutes once per week, the frequency and duration are tailored specifically to your child’s individual needs, goals, and tolerance levels.
We will determine the most effective treatment plan during the initial evaluation. Because progress is dynamic, we will continually reassess and adjust the frequency of sessions to ensure your child is receiving the optimal level of support as they grow and achieve new milestones.
Do I Need to Stay for The Session?
For our initial evaluation, we ask that you stay so we can walk through your child's history and goals together. After that, the choice is yours!
Every child is different—some thrive with a parent in the room, while others focus better one-on-one. We will work collaboratively to find the best "rhythm" for your child. We do love having parents jump in periodically so we can share progress and show you fun, easy ways to practice new skills at home. Regardless of who is in the room, we will always provide you with a home program to ensure your child has the tools they need to succeed every day of the week, not just on therapy days!
What Do We Bring to the Evaluation?
